The Catalogues

The Catalogues

The company issued very few catalogues and the early ones were very distinctive. They were small in size, 5⅜ by 4¼ inches, with an embossed bust of Izaac Walton on the front. The first one was issued in September 1911 and additional copies of this came out with pasted illustrations and inserts.  The second catalogue, prefaced B, was issued in 1913. In 1914 an appendix was issued to this catalogue containing a two-page colour section showing various baits. Issue C came out in February 1920, issue D in March 1923, and E in March 1927.
In 1937 and 1938 a catalogue was issued by the Milward Company shortly before it was sold back to Walton Wadham.
In 1957 a catalogue was produced incorporating L. St. C. Marsh’s Fishing Tackle which contained many items made by the company. In 1958 a supplement was issued to this catalogue and in 1962 the final catalogue was issued.
There was also a Trade catalogue issued in the 1950s.
In addition to the catalogues, the company did issue various booklets and pamphlets covering specific items of tackle. In 1910 a booklet for the Meteor reel was issued.
The Fishing Gazette printed various articles on Flounder Fishing and in 1935 Flounder Fishing with the Wander Tackle was issued.
